DESCRIPTION:Please be advised that the Tift County Democratic Committee/Party will be electing delegates\nto the 2026 Democratic Party of Georgia State Convention and local Party Post Seat Holders for\nall districts on June 30\, 2026 at 6:00 PM at The Georgia Museum of Agriculture Peanut\nMuseum\, located at 1392 Whiddon Mill Road\, Tifton\, GA 31793. \nThe Tift County Democratic Committee/Party are electing 2 Delegates and 1 Alternate to the\nState Convention and 6 District Post Seat Holders\, one for each district and 1 At-large.\nEveryone who attends must sign the Georgia State Convention Delegate and Delegate Elector\nAffidavit to participate. \nTwo Caucuses will be held at this time.  The first Caucus will consist of Elected Tift County\nDemocratic Committee Members/Post Seat Holders voting for half of the allotted State\nDelegates and the State Alternate.  The second Caucus will consist of the General Public\nelecting the remaining the State Delegate.  You do not have to be an Elected Tift County\nDemocratic Committee Member/Post Seat Holder to run for a State Delegate spot.  You simply\nneed to be a registered voter of the county and you must physically reside in the county.\nEveryone who attends must sign the Georgia State Democratic Convention Delegate and\nDelegate Elector Affidavit to participate. \nThe Post Seat Holder Elections will take place one district at a time for each of the six districts\nand the at-large position for a 4-year term.\nThe State Convention will be held on Saturday\, August 1st\, in Savannah\, GA.  This is the\nDemocratic Party's time to highlight our amazing slate of candidates\, adopt our party's\nplatform\, and adopt resolutions that represent who we are.  All statewide candidates will be in\nattendance.  Make your plans now to run for a State Delegate spot.
